The Catholic Parish of the Redcliffe Peninsula which incorporates the Catholic Communities of Holy Cross, Kippa Ring and Mary Queen of Peace, Woody Point has a population according to the 2006 Census of 51,173 people of whom 11,941 were Catholics (23.3%).
Within the Archdiocese of Brisbane, the Parish is the 10th largest and out of the Australian Parishes, it is the 35th largest. Alongside the Parish lies the developing area of Mango Hill/ Nortlakes.
The Archbishop has appointed our Parish Priest, Father Michael as the Administrator of the St Benedict's Pastoral Mission, Mango Hill and North Lakes. Sr Bernardina Sontrop is the Pastoral Mission Coordinator of the St Benedict's Pastoral Mission. Mass is celebrated each Sunday Morning at 9,30 am in St Benedict's Catholic Primary School by Father John Ponting an Archdiocesan Priest. The area contained in the Pastoral Mission is one of the fastest growing areas in South East Queensland.
