I was born in Aba metropolis, Abia State Nigeria, West of Africa. I came from a young family of four boys. Mum is the only girl in the house. My growing up as a kid was good fun as I enjoyed every moment running around my mum and often sleeping beside her. That was the best part of the house for me. My mum and dad were the motivator for prayers in the house and also in everything and cared so much for us; dad cared especially for me. My fun while growing up gradually stopped when I was 12 years and went to live in the boarding-school during my High school at the minor seminary. I stayed there for 6 years and only came back home during Christmas and Easter and other major school holidays.
Joining the Major seminary in 2005 to discern the vocation to the priesthood, I studied and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from 2005-2011 at Seat of Wisdom Seminary, affiliate of Urban University Rome and Imo State University, Nigeria. And after one year of studying theology in Nigeria, I came to Australia.
Coming to Australia in 2012, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Theology at the Australian Catholic University Brisbane and did my Masters in Theological Studies in the same university as a seminarian of the Holy Spirit Seminary, Queensland. Life in Australia has been quite amazing with numerously good and also challenging experiences.
Having been posted to Holy Cross Parish Redcliffe, I have been involved with contributing in building up the spiritual life and faith formation of the Parish community, visiting the sick and Parish schools and I am particularly involved with the Parish Youth coordination. Hearing the stories of these young minds in the Parish and making them feel appreciated offers me the opportunity to inspire them and be inspired by their vibrant godly energy. I love serving others, being available to people and seeing them smile. I haven’t made much travel as I have only been to Australia and stopped over at Dubai.
